In reality this is unlikely to happen unless businesses are given affordable tools, training and techniques to address the sustainability issues that we face.

One of the biggest sustainability challenges is a lack of awareness of 'how' businesses can make changes in their business which will have a significant improvement in our national environmental footprint.

Melanie Blackmore, Managing Director of Blackmores, a leading ISO Standards consultancy firm, piloted Carbonology(r) a simple step-by-step approach to help a business to become carbon neutral in alignment with the highest standards in Carbon Management, ISO14064 Carbon verification and PAS2060 Carbon neutrality.

Our vision is to digitalise our consultancy services and raise standards through the innovative Carbonology(r) hub to give access high-quality carbon footprint verification (ISO 14064) and Carbon neutrality (PAS 2060) training and consultancy support online. A global first of its kind.

Carbonology(r) Hub will be the first online membership to provide a net carbon zero pathway which meets the requirements of ISO14064 (Carbon Verification) and PAS2060 (Carbon neutrality), thus demonstrating credibility and confidence to all stakeholders - the antithesis of 'greenwashing' as the online portal enables evidence of how an organisation's commitment to climate action can be measured, reduced and reported in alignment with international carbon standards.

The Carbonology(r) hub project will cover the research, development and testing in readiness to launch in Q2 2023.

In terms of functionality the Carbonology Hub will provide:

Carbonology Roadmap to net zero (7 steps)

Integrates data-feeds via API connected third-parties i.e. renewables, carbon off-setting

Interactive action plans, video tutorials, workbooks

Templates and supporting resources i.e. Data collection, Carbon Reduction Plan

Online mentoring support (Group and 1-2-1)

Learning resources - bite-size modules, eLearning.

Net zero progress comparison supplier tracking and reporting

Carbon emissions calculation

Online community to share 'Best-Practise'

Time is running out for industries to be net carbon zero by 2030. Timescales for an ISO14064 and PAS2060 Implementation project takes 6-12 months and costs between &amp;pound;5,000-&amp;pound;10,000, this can be fast-tracked in Carbonology(r) Hub in less than one month with an annual membership fee of &amp;pound;1,500. Making net carbon affordable and embracing accessibility, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Embedding a culture of sustainability awareness across all businesses -- Carbonology Hub will form part of a company's DNA to make net carbon business as usual -- not the exception.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
