This majority will further understand the indignity and discomfort the generic hospital gown provides. It has further been proved within my primary and secondary research that the current generic hospital gown has grave implications for patients health, the environment and forces our public health care system to spend tax payers money on a product that does not consider the needs of end-users (patients and clinicians).

Hypoplas' project aim is to commercialise an innovative end-user centric hospital garment. That considers the needs of patients, clinicians and healthcare organisations cost efficiency and environmental objectives. Through purposeful design the gown improves patient modesty and comfort. The gowns opening allows fast and easy access to patients during CPR, delivery of IV medication and taking patient observations. Finally the production and composition of the gown decrease both textile waste and carbon footprints within private and public healthcare systems.

The project has already attracted a substantial amount of attention from both the public and private healthcare sector. Proving promise to commercialise the gown and improve the future of patient welfare.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
