Moti Me is transforming paediatric physiotherapy in the UK, adding joy and crucial assistance for children with disabilities to achieve their fullest potential. Katie Michaels (founder), a graduate in Industrial Design from Loughborough University, drew inspiration from her young cousin diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

With over 1.4 million affected children in the UK facing movement challenges and disabilities, access to consistent professional paediatric physiotherapy remains a challenge. Families are left scrambling for effective support, trying to balance home-based exercises in an already stretched household. Moti Me steps in as an innovative solution, aiming to bridge the divide between clinical settings and home-based physiotherapy.

**Improved Physiotherapy Outcomes**

The early-years of a child's life are critical for learning essential developmental skills. As a child grows and waits endless months for the appropriate care, the optimal period for rehabilitation reduces significantly. Our mission is to empower children during their first years and give them the best chance to achieve their full potential.

**Empowering Children and Parents**

For most children, regular physiotherapy is not an option which means that parents are left with the responsibility of managing their child's physiotherapy at home. This is very daunting and challenging as many parents have limited physiotherapy knowledge, children become easily distracted and there are limited resources available.

Moti Me's goal is to design a product that supports children and caregivers during physiotherapy practice to help children achieve their physical milestones such as sitting or standing.

Our early concept has been created with the help and collaboration of physiotherapists and parents - from user interviews and questionnaires through to live physiotherapy observations.

**Monitoring a Child's Progress**

Moti Me has a long-term goal of having the ability to record and monitor a child's progress throughout physiotherapy sessions and home practice. This will activate more efficient physiotherapy sessions and support healthcare providers by saving them both time and costs.

Moti Me aims to develop an accessible product so that all children will have the equal opportunity of achieving their full physical potential.

**More Goals Achieved**

By unlocking the potential of home-based physiotherapy practice, children are able to continue their exercises outside of professional sessions, enabling them to consistently progress, instead of waiting for their next physiotherapy session.

**Healthcare or Home Environment**

Moti Me can also be used by caregivers or healthcare professionals at physiotherapy centres, hospitals and special needs schools to motivate children during physiotherapy sessions.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
