This work has been supported by 3 previous grants from Innovate UK including 2 rounds of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition.

These boats are based around an innovative new hull form that significantly reduces energy consumption and allows a range of up to 150 miles under battery power. This is significantly better than any other comparable boats on the market.

The boats will be aimed at the leisure market and also commercial applications as water taxis.

During the last 4 years of R&amp;amp;D we have manufactured a prototype 10m long boat, which will now be subject to sea trials and testing and then be used as a demonstrator.

We now need to build the business and move closer to commercialisation. To reach commercialisation and bring boats into production will require further investment to cover the costs of tooling, manufacturing setup, marketing and expansion of the management structure. This pre-commercialisation project will develop a commercialisation strategy and materials such as business plans and pitch decks to enable us to attract investors.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
