AOC uses autonomous entities or agents to simulate and solve complicated problems. Often AOC based solutions are designed to minimise human involvement. For instance autonomic computing systems are computer networks that can be managed without the need for human intervention. AOC systems manage themselves according to an administrator's goals. The analogy of an ant colony is often used to explain AOC, the systems within the colony combine to create the whole.
We are researching the application of Autonomy Orientated Computing (AOC) to the creation of computer game content.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
