This project will establish a groundbreaking approach to addressing the complexities and barriers consumers face in understanding and implementing net zero solutions, especially those in vulnerable situations.

At the core of Wattie's innovation is the integration of advanced Large Language Models (LLM) (e.g., ChatGPT) with a curated library of energy information and models. This combination allows Wattie to provide more personalised and accessible advice than traditional chat bots, but also more accurate, traceable and localised advice than generic LLMs. Key to Wattie's design is its focus on accessibility, featuring text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and multilingual support, thereby overcoming common barriers in accessibility and language.

Wattie's development aims to fill a significant gap in the UK's journey towards net zero targets. While our HEAT (Home Energy Action Together) service provides invaluable, human advice, it faces scale issues if it is to meet the needs of thousands of consumers across diverse geographical areas. Wattie addresses this by offering an agile, scalable platform capable of reaching a broader audience, including those with specific language needs or in hard-to-reach areas. This scalable approach is supported by Wattie's cloud-based architecture, which ensures affordability and efficiency.

In terms of impact and added value, Wattie will significantly benefit Green Rose and the UK. The project aligns with Green Rose's mission of promoting sustainable living and alleviating fuel poverty. The development of Wattie promises tangible outputs such as enhanced digital energy assistant platforms and integrated services with existing programs like HEAT. The societal, economic, and environmental impacts are substantial, with Wattie poised to address fuel poverty, stimulate local economies, and contribute to CO2 reduction and energy efficiency.

Green Rose, backed by its diverse and experienced team, including key personnel from the energy and social housing sectors, and the technical expertise from CEE, is well-positioned to deliver this project successfully. Our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) is integral to Wattie's development, ensuring the project caters to a diverse range of users and needs.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
