(SMDI) is developing a mobile transportable thermal energy storage unit (a battery) that would allow storage, transportation and utilisation of heat:

\* recovered from industrial processes;

\* generated from excess electric power at wind or solar farms;

\* harnessed from other heat sources.

SMDI aims to:

\* de-carbonise heating by eliminating utilisation of natural gas for heating;

\* reduce volatility of energy prices and supply to consumers;

\* provide affordable, reliable and clean heating solution to all households;

\* provide grid balancing capability;
