The world has 97 zettabytes of digital data, expected to reach 181 zettabytes by 2025, with up to 70% being video content. Creating multiple versions of the same content, known as 'versionitis,' is costly and contributes to global CO2 emissions. Using the IMF video format can decrease file size by up to 90% when dealing with multiple versions. There is an urgent need to reduce the global storage of video content, minimising cost/carbon emissions.

To address this unmet need, AdSignal is developing the world's only SaaS (Compose) capable of creating IMF from traditional videos and reducing duplicate adaptive bitrate (ABR) content. Compose offers users substantial cost/carbon savings year-on-year of ~70% for IMF use and ~50% for ABR use. It also offers a greatly improved organisational structure for video content, resulting in 10 person-hours/week saved per 1K minutes matched. Compose can avoid substantial carbon emissions with our preliminary estimates suggesting over 55M tonnes per year, set to increase by 20 times by 2025\.

Compose is a first of its kind, and its core value proposition involves offering cost-saving and efficiency improvements that cannot be achieved by other means. The cost saving for a typical content holder or streaming service will be 70-80% of their video storage and CDN costs and a time saving of 10 person-hours/week per 1K minutes of video processed.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
