The sports
apparel industry is now worth around $150bn and set to reach $178bn by 2019. Python will be
pioneering research into compression clothing for sports. Using our methodology for a
completely new way of weaving materials we’re able to pinpoint compression around joints.
This gives the user a comfortable set of undergarments, which are streamlined, but provide the
support, and heat around a joint required for increased performance in sport. This new
technology will reduce recovery time of athletes, reduce joint deterioration over time and
increase performance in selected discipline (whether sprinting, running, cycling, weightlifting,
powerlifting, or general sports). The outcomes from the project will be a basic prototype,
tested and proved, of an innovative game changing pair of compression tights, and a
compression shirt, which will provide the results stated above.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
