However, they are large expensive installations, potentially harmful in the case of CT, and their limited availability often delays critical assessments. To address these shortcomings Scannerfutures has demonstrated the technical feasibility and market potential of Contrast Imaging (CI) scanning using low intensity Radio Frequency (RF) waves rather than X-rays. RF CI is potentially game changing because it is intrinsically safe, lends itself to a compact construction, and has lower capital and operating costs than CT and MRI. Although lower in resolution, RF CI is suited to being deployed far more widely. This innovation voucher will enable Scannerfutures to engage the services of an experienced patent attorney to file several patents on its innovations.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
