Batteries cause a large number of fires in recycling plants including MRF's, PRF's and reprocessors, hence detecting and removing batteries is important to ensure the recycling process runs efficiently and safely. Facilities operate with deep flows of material up to 40cm deep and hence penetrative imaging is required to see materials beneath the surface.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
