Their product can be used to prove identity in both website logins and online payments. The technology uses a mobile phone app to scan QR-codes and display visual one-time passwords (OTPs) that cannot be read digitally. 

Visual cryptography works on the principle that an image can be split into 2 or more parts which are meaningless when taken separately but which reveal a legible message when merged. Tento has patented a method of doing this so that the user’s TentoID can deliver millions of dynamic OTPs. These can be used to authenticate users in any challenge/response transaction.

The product can deliver bank-grade security, is very convenient to use and can be offered at remarkably low cost. Eventually, it could replace conventional static passwords which are generally insecure and not liked by users.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
