in a novel location-aware way (eg to generate feedback from customers based on a knowledge
of their exact location, and current scenario – such as the person’s presence at a particular
event). Whilst voting/review mobile applications are burgeoning, Think Impact proposes the
development of technology that extracts information through geo-location, thereby enabling
information push/marketing/user-client interaction and invaluable qualitative data provision as
a very precise resource.
We need to assess and verify the market needs, technology implication and demand for an
interactive system like this in known and unknown markets, perform and refine a detailed
requirements analysis, plus design and build a basic concept demonstrator for evaluation by a
diverse group of potential users. We have experience of most of the individual component
technologies that this project relies on, but need to be able to combine and further develop
these in a novel manner to achieve the system we envisage.
Although the product’s core is its user review/survey feedback capacity, we envisage building
other innovative elements onto it in order to position it as a live event technology/application.
This includes the ability for users of GeoVote to receive/buy/capture a live stream of the event
directly onto their phone, and the ability to directly purchase products relevant to that event
(for example: songs performed and viewed at the event, merchandise etc)
We intend to use the evaluation results of the Proof of Market to support and justify further
R&amp;amp;D investment to develop a flexible and easy-to-deploy technology that appeals to a wide
range of users and groups.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
