751838Titan PodsClosedVouchersInnovate UKThe growing global demand for food, combined with increasing pressures on water and energy resources needs highly efficient crop growing systems. It is the intention of this project to confirm designs for a self-contained aeroponic growth pod with the required growth support equipment powered by PV cells on the roof. The resulting pods will be independent of location soil and climate conditions and thus provide for crop yield maximisation at a wide variety of scales in a diversity of application areas. Benefits to crop yield, bio-security and food security are all expected.
