The Butterfly system comprises:

* **Butterfly sensors:** capturing constant, real-time air quality data (VOC, CO2, particulates) at previously unachievable resolution from integrated indoor and outdoor sensors. Sensors use our internationally patented LaminAIR Flow: a breakthrough technology, reimagining the way air navigates through a sensing chamber to ensure fresh samples are continuously taken and sensors never measure static air - a problem in all other air quality sensors.
* **PureAir algorithms:** our algorithms convert our real-time data into air quality insights that control our "solve" solution. Our algorithms fold data streams into human-related indices, e.g., comfort levels (inferred from temperature and humidity), cognitive performance (from CO2 and PM levels) and physical health (VOCs, PM, CO2), providing relevant data outputs that are easy for users to understand. Algorithms also allow for proactive management. This allows us to alert clients to impending air quality issues (e.g., forecasted PM spikes) before they occur, rather than only reacting after the fact.
* **Butterfly App and AI Assistant:** the app presents real-time data and causes of changes, with locally-customisable prompts to enable users to take immediate, appropriate actions. The conversational AI agent answers user queries and provides explanations of recommendations.
* **Purification:** Butterfly integrates via our API with building management systems or deployed in-room purifiers, in-duct purifiers.

The project will trial Butterfly within four key real-world environments: hospitals (Charing Cross Hospital), education (Imperial College London), transport (British Airways airport lounges in Heathrow and Gatwick) and offices (Instant Group -- the world's largest provider of co-working spaces).

Trial data will enable final adjustments to the Butterfly system before commercialisations across these four sectors, and will inform future developments for additional priority sectors.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
