This project explores a novel approach to digital tooling that supports the lifecycle of marine vessels and offshore assets, with particular emphasis on advanced visualisation techniques for streamlining the sales and design process, maintenance, and training. By combining 3D design data, immersive media, and intuitive web-based access, we aim to streamline how technical insights are delivered to crew, clients and contractors --- improving safety, communication and asset value.

Focusing on the South West's strengths in autonomy, clean maritime, and digital ocean technologies, our innovation will empower marine businesses to better leverage vessel data throughout construction, refit, or repurpose cycles. Our approach democratises access --- making complex design or diagnostic knowledge more usable and visual for crews and service providers of all sizes.

The system will be tested with realistic use cases from both the leisure marine and offshore renewable sectors, aligning with regional priorities around digital twin infrastructure, decarbonisation, and export-ready services. Outputs will include an interactive demonstrator that showcases key workflows and validates commercial routes with regional partners.

This project is being developed and delivered entirely within the Great South West region. The innovation builds on the area's globally recognised capabilities in vessel manufacture, autonomy, and maritime systems --- contributing to the broader cluster vision of becoming a world-class hub for ocean technology development.

The work will provide the foundation for a scalable digital service platform that can support marine operators, shipyards, and equipment manufacturers in delivering better-maintained, safer and more efficient vessels. It also strengthens the region's capacity to export value-added services built on UK design, data and environmental leadership.

This project supports a long-term commitment to marine innovation in the South West, ensuring that benefits --- economic, environmental and technical --- are retained within the cluster and help drive regional growth.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
