people or less. The first priority for many of these, and especially those that are ownermanaged
micro-businesses, is to be able sell their products or services just to make a living.
Yet, few are willing to undertake any professional sales training, instead relying on deep
subject matter knowledge to win customer confidence and take sales orders. Vitality of this
segment of the UK economy is dependent almost entirely on sales success and this, in turn,
determines quickly whether these businesses and their employees are net positive contributors
to the economy, or not. The Salescraft proposition is designed specifically to reduce the
inherent risk of underperforming sales in this market segment.
The rise of the smartphone provides for the first time a cost-effective opportunity to mobilise
sales in the small businesses. Salescraft plans to introduce a mobility solution for smartphone
users that will provide a simple, intelligent means of guiding sales enquiries towards
successful conversion to sales orders. The mobile application will embed artificial
intelligence and games –based logic to create an expert system that guides users towards
appropriate actions and rewarding behaviours that demonstrate a professional sales approach
to achieving sales targets set by the user. Transaction data will be recovered from each
network user and analysed to update the AI engine for optimum performance. This ‘expert in
my pocket’ approach will be low cost and easy to adopt, simple to use and quick to produce
tangible results.
The solution will comprise: an HTML5 web application with embedded expert system; a
cloud computing platform for data analytics; and an online community providing added-value
to users through features such as ‘find an expert’, or ‘make a referral’.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
