This initiative aims to enhance farm efficiency, sustainability, and economic viability by assessing the need to provide real-time monitoring of milk quality, feed inputs and cow health on a personalised cow basis.

By optimising cow feed and detecting health issues early, the Cow Efficiency Monitor helps reduce methane emissions and decreases the need for fertilisers. This contributes significantly to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, supporting Wales' ambitious net zero targets.
