The project aims to enhance persistent shoreline capabilities remotely from shorebased Remote Operations Centres (ROCs). Central to this initiative is the design and development of advanced docking stations that will automate the deployment, recovery and wireless charging of battery-electric USV systems. This advancement not only boosts mission efficiency but also provides a true net-zero for operations capability.

In parallel with the docking station development, South Devon College, in collaboration with subcontractor BMT, will expand an existing ship simulator into a cutting-edge, dual-use ROC facility. This extension will provide an end-to-end simulator and training framework, transitioning from a simulation environment to an operational one by extending the utility and capabilities of the simulator facilities.

This ambitious project, at the crossroads of training, research and industrial solutions, marks a significant stride towards a decarbonised and capable era of maritime autonomy.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
