There is no longer any doubt that the way our brains function is affected by the food we eat. Since our behaviour is directed by the brain, it should come as no surprise that a clear link exists between food and behaviour. Studies have now also convincingly shown effects of nutrition on memory, literacy and numeracy together with self-control, impulsivity and anti-social behaviour. 

IFBB aims to support the development of nutritional interventions which have significant potential impact, both for public health issues like depression and cognitive decline in the elderly, and for social issues like education and violent crime.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
