Increased stress levels and other psychosocial issues make it harder for women to successfully become pregnant, and women that undergo IVF treatments present with higher levels of depression and lower self-esteem than their peers. Fertility clinics struggle to provide even effective levels of psychosocial support to patients because of a lack of time and sufficient resources. To prevent, detect and treat mental health issues and increase IVF success rates, clinics need an effective tool for providing around-the-clock psychosocial support to patients.

Women disproportionately shoulder the burden of fertility treatments and their associated mental health challenges. Women from marginalised communities, less-educated women, women with higher occupational stress levels and/or women with pre-existing mental/physical health challenges experience higher infertility stress levels.

Aura is working to develop a first-of-its-kind patient-facing app and clinical dashboard that will help medical practitioners provide pioneering psychosocial care with seamless communications and electronic health record (EHR) integration. Aura will offer world-leading personalised and integrated IVF patient support. Aura will uniquely leverage expert content, proven scientific interventions, evidence-based tools and human support to deliver unparalleled psychosocial fertility care.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
