With increasing success in the treatment of breast cancer, full breast removal is a last resort. We feel that little is understood about the impact on identity and well-being that partial breast removal has. This project will work with women who have had partial breast removal. Design-thinking and human-centred design will inform the structure of activities in workshops and remote packs. Rather than leading participants in a direction or following a set line of argument, interactions with participants, and the prototype breast forms or services that are developed from this, will be iterative, in a cycle of learning and adaptation. The intention is to use a process of co-design -- involving the end user in the design of the product or service and returning to them for feedback at various stages in the design cycle -- ensuring that voices are heard and reflected, and user needs are at the heart of the product that is created.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
