10064415InnovateHer’s Cybersecurity ProgrammeClosedCollaborative R&DISCFInnovateHer are on a mission to get girls ready for the tech industry and the tech industry ready for girls. They have worked with over 14,000 students to date across the U.K. Part of fulfilling this mission is to offer tech-related learning opportunities on their e-Learning platform, fulfilling skills gaps and needs in the STE(A)M industries. InnovateHer are working on a project to design and create a Cybersecurity programme for their e-Learning platform, InnovateHer Online, complementing their current pillars and expanding the variety of courses and resources currently available to students. Through the Future Flight Fund project, InnovateHer will design and build a 6-8 lesson Cybersecurity course for 13-17 year-old students that will be the core element of their Cyber programme for schools. Content will align with the Future Flight skills roadmap, fulfilling plans to implement both STE(A)M and EDI-related training programmes, both of which InnovateHer specialises in and has been working on since 2013\. The focus of the course is to demonstrate the basics of the chosen topic (in this case, Cybersecurity), aiming to inspire and intrigue students to consider career paths in this field and in alignment with the Future Flight emerging markets. InnovateHer online courses are innovative, interactive and engaging, allowing students to practise their learning along the way, featuring industry experts to talk through lessons and bring the content to life. All content is designed alongside students, teachers and partners so that an engaging learning experience can be fulfilled. Once the course is available, this will then be delivered in schools across the UK, with the support of our partner, BAE Systems. InnovateHer works with partners in the industry to ensure that school programmes are kept free, as one of our priorities is to work with schools in underprivileged and harder-to-reach areas of need. InnovateHer also prioritises working with girls and non-binary folk and over-represents these people through its content.
