For example in January 2013 the value of baled recovered mixed plastic bottles was from £15 to £115 per tonne, whilst tyre disposal could cost £3.50 each or could generate an income. Place4Waste is an innovative tool optimising prices to support both recycling incentives and secure opportunities for waste source business, which in turn will boost recycling rates. Place4Waste is not a marketplace, but once established could become a reference for a waste/recycling market.
