Utilising advanced detection technologies such as Vacuum Ultraviolet Spectroscopy (VUV) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), the project aims to enhance real-time monitoring capabilities directly on the brewery floor. This effort is complemented by Volatile Technologies' portable gas chromatography system, Scout3\. Astute's expertise in analytical chemistry and access to VUV and FTIR systems will play a crucial role in evaluating and integrating these technologies. Success in this endeavour will lead to the integration of one of these detectors into Scout3, enabling automated and precise measurement of diacetyl levels. This advancement promises to optimise brewing processes, ensure product quality, reduce CO2 emissions and potentially revolutionise on-site quality control in the brewing industry.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
