Our proposal builds on an extremely successful feasibility study that was supported by Innovate UK (Project: 10026757), whereby Stopford demonstrated that Nutragy performed as well as mineral-based fertilisers in both farm and greenhouse pot trials.

To capitalise on these results, our consortium, comprising engineers, scientists, AD operators, farmers, agronomists and academia, will design and build a 1/10th demonstration-scale manufacturing facility to scale lab-based manufacturing activity. The demonstrator will provide product to test local markets, leveraging support for exploitation, with the accrued learning enabling the design of a full-scale facility.

Nutragy supports the agricultural sectors transition to net-zero while protecting farming livelihoods by providing price certainty for affordable fertilisers. Simultaneously, Nutragy enables the farming industry to transform low-worth materials into high value products, by:

* Improving digestate processing to optimise its nutrient quality for accurate and precise distribution
* Improving ability and efficiency to transport nutrients from farm waste from areas of surplus to areas of demand
* Improving handling, treatment and storage of on--farm wastes, and
* Reducing environmental impacts by reducing leaching, run-off and diffuse ammonia emissions.

Scope Change
The Project as envisaged included the design and building of a 1/10th scale Demonstrator Plant.
The design, specification and detail of equipment to be sourced were completed but the funding to procure, purchase and install the Demonstrator could not be raised from within the consortium. Other parties were considered but no progress made in gaining commitment to financial support.

Without the Demonstrator the production and supply of a 'finished' product packaged and presented for commercialisation could not be delivered. Therefore the testing in local markets and development to leverage support for exploitation could not be achieved.

Further, delivering the Demonstrator Plant was to provide the learning necessary to enable the design of a full-scale facility now no longer achievable.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
