Much as Unreal's MetaHumans project seeks to create convincing digital humans, the Lazarus Project seeks to create convincing digital creatures, that once lived on Earth but are now extinct. We will using existing scientific data, 3D scanning of skeletons/fossils as well as video/sound recordings for more recently extinct species, to create a digital biosphere where audiences will come into contact with extinct animals and impossibly rare Lazarus species (species previously thought to be extinct that have been rediscovered but remain impossibly rare).
