The monitor will measure the concentration of glucose in the tissue. If successful, diabetics would be able to measure their glucose levels without the need to prick a finger and take a blood sample. This would encourage more frequent measurements of glucose levels, better glucose control, and fewer diabetic complications with substantial cost savings to the NHS.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
