The project supports scale-up of UltraMax's planned UK manufacturing operation (Li-BAR) and presents interesting collaboration and growth opportunities for each of its partners.

UltraMax Batteries (part of Baruch Enterprises) is a battery pack manufacturing company leading the UK market with their current low voltage lithium-ion batteries from their 500MWh JV facility in China. Their UK operations provide distribution of their products, testing facilities and sales and engineering activities. They are experienced in running successful battery distribution and manufacturing companies.

Bath University is a leading UK university, and with the support of the staff and facilities in the recently opened Institute of Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) offers a unique combination of highly respected academic research expertise and substantial engineering delivery experience, backed up by unrivalled state-of-the-art physical and virtual facilities. The new IAAPS 11,300 m2 site based at the Bristol & Bath Science Park includes the necessary capability to carry out research and development of battery-based propulsion including both simulation and rig testing at cell, module and pack level.

M&I Materials, established over 120 years ago, specialises in the formulation and manufacture of specialist materials and chemicals including dielectric fluids, initially developed for transformer cooling but now finding applications in batteries and power electronics.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
