Evolving ways of life, increasing number of women giving priority to their career along with their child, and increasing disposable income of individuals are the key factors driving the development of the growing breast pump market (Reuters, 2014). Pumps are preferred by working mothers who can avoid artificial breast milk substitutes (TMR, 2013).

However manual pumps are labour intensive, powered pumps are noisy, uncomfortable and often disliked by mothers who report feeling “like a cow”. Better breast pumps are needed (WHO, 2015).

Clifson are developing a new type of non-battery operated pump to allow mothers to extract breast milk. Clifson will use this Innovation Voucher to pay for expert IP advice."</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
