We are working to solve this, to help homeowners truly understand what their air source heat pump (ASHP) journey will look like. We hypothesise that our tool can improve the heat pump user journey plus improve conversion rates for energy suppliers, service providers, and local authorities.

How are we doing this?

* We're building an innovative decision making tool that uses satellite data and computer vision (combined with public, user-submitted and real-energy data) to identify where a heat pump could be placed and explore how we could visualise it on the resident's home. We want to demonstrate how photos from inside a property can be read to identify radiator types and sizes, to ensure accurate indicative heat pump quotes.
* Our product is novel in triaging public data with user-submitted, satellite and aerial lidar data to demonstrate suitability and affordability of heat pumps in homes informing homeowners of upfront and running costs with greater accuracy.
* We're testing ways of presenting the impact of heat pump technology, considering battery, solar, Time of Use (ToU) tariff and EV charging to homeowners. This would include indicative running costs, upfront costs and indicative carbon emission savings. We're signposting homeowners to a next step, booking a survey linking to the appropriate provider(s) already identified in our network.
* It integrates dynamic energy tariff provision into the model, empowering homeowners with insight on how a heat pump can impact their energy bills. We work to improve awareness on heat pump suitability and address misinformation, where narrow industry and trade sector thinking has produced siloes creating rigid ideas around heat pump use cases, as our tool is likely to reveal broader suitability.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
