The aim of this project is to take the key outcomes from NGCW and to further expand the potential of the novel technologies and integration methods identified, in order to prepare for the UK ‘Wing of the Future’ programme which is required to start in 2014.
Through technology development and large scale rig testing undertaken within FIRST, testing capability will be improved within the UK both at Airbus Filton site and at other UK based testing facilities. Work within FIRST will lead to build and upgrade of test rigs to perform fuel systems testing under simulated flight conditions.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
