The videos will be targeted at unpaid carers, care workers and occupational therapists. As his grandmother's primary carer, David has experienced the challenges of this role and the positive impact of readily available devices and wearables in care. Through this project, David aims to decrease the anxiety older adults experience around technology, benefiting both unpaid caregivers and care recipients.

Older adults constitute the majority of adult social care receivers in the UK. They are also more likely than younger individuals to experience anxiety around technology. There are also 5.7mm unpaid carers in the UK providing 1.1 bn hours of unpaid care, approximately 26 hours a week, 3X the weekly 10-hour threshold when carers become more likely to leave formal employment. Unable to support themselves with technology, unpaid carers may experience increased time constraints.

David will utilise videos to raise awareness of the use cases for integrating readily available technology within a care setting, helping to educate unpaid and formal carers on the advantages of using technology. This innovative project would help expand on this subject's currently limited educational materials by measuring the receptiveness of avatar/ AI videos compared to live content by analysing the videos' engagement statistics.

David would enormously benefit from the support package. The media and communications assistance would help better understand how to effectively communicate through the videos, including help with editing and formatting most appropriate to the platform. As a member of Barclays Black Founder Accelerator, David has access to a professional podcast studio, reducing the project cost while increasing the chances of success.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
