Concretene have developed a process to produce Green-Graphene-Oxide (GGO) which drastically reduces this. This material has proven effective in isothermal calorimetry trials as an additive for improved cement hydration. This project will focus on proving the feasibility utilising a CO2e-negative, bio-derived material as a precursor to GGO. Testing in cementitious systems will offer a pathway to mass-decarbonisation of the concrete-sector and achievement of the UK's Net Zero goals by allowing for reduced cement content to achieve equivalent strength performance.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
