By utilising a manufacturing process that consumes over 50% less energy compared to existing CMC technologies, we will significantly reduce the environmental impact.

The project will deliver several impactful outputs, including advancing the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the low-cost ceramic composite material, generating thermo-mechanical performance data, and developing a detailed cost model that offers insights into the "performance per £" obtained. Additionally, we will produce thermo-mechanically tested demonstrator parts using geometries defined by the end customer. The data collected from this project will be crucial for understanding the material's mechanical properties and cost-effectiveness.

This initiative exemplifies industrial research, involving planned research and critical investigation to acquire new knowledge and skills in advanced ceramic composite materials. The consortium intends to elevate a novel CMC material through the TRL stages by creating prototypes and rigorously testing them in simulated environments. This process will validate the material's integration with existing engineering systems, addressing a critical technological gap. Our efforts will not only enhance the performance and cost-effectiveness of current advanced materials but also support the development of complex systems that leverage our innovative CMC.

Moreover, the project aligns with industrial research objectives, focusing on product development and significant improvements to existing processes and services within the advanced materials sector. It will also contribute to the development of a skilled workforce within partner organisations, fostering expertise in processing and testing this novel CMC material solution.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
