Over the past year, we've collaborated with visually impaired individuals, the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB), and Guide Dogs, delving into challenges faced by Visually impaired (V.I.) people while navigating spaces and their significant impact on lives. Our journey has led to the creation of innovative wall tactile patterns representing key areas like corridors, washrooms, and emergency exits, designed to foster independent navigation.

To date, our efforts have centred on design and user feedback. The next critical step, enabled by this grant, involves manufacturing our first batch of tactile samples for comprehensive testing in varied UK settings. This phase is pivotal for demonstrating our product's real-life efficacy and collecting essential data to refine our solution.

Sensei stands as a beacon of innovation in a landscape where the needs of the visually impaired are often overlooked. Traditional makeshift solutions in institutions underscore the urgent demand for our product. Through strategic partnerships with RNIB and Guide Dogs, we're poised to bridge the gap between spaces and users, marking a significant leap towards creating inclusive environments for all.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
