The DSR Footroom will conduct research to establish the business models and regulatory/commercial frameworks necessary for a Demand Side Resource service to address the growing issue of balancing wind power generation with demand. This will reduce the need to curtail wind output at times of low demand, increase the ability of networks to absorb renewable energy, support new energy storage technologies, and provide additional revenue to industrial energy users and operators of low-carbon generators.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
