The device is proven to capture air particles and nitrogen dioxide (gaseous air pollutants produced by car engines) and clean air in the vicinity of the user. The device is easy to fit to existing vehicle wheels.

GoRolloe has developed a working prototype of the device. It uses conventional plastics for the device construction to house a novel combination of sheep's wool particle filter and ceramic nitrogen dioxide filter. However the only part of the current prototype that is sustainable is the sheep's wool filter. To meet clients and market expectations, the team needs to develop and refine the current design such that it can be made with sustainably sourced polymers/materials. GoRolloe has applied for Fast Start Innovation funding because it urgently needs to improve the sustainability of current design.

Once developed, the GoRolloe team will be able to produce pilot volumes of the filter device to then enable clients to evaluate and test the product. Demonstrating traction with the clients will then enable GoRolloe to secure investment or loans needed to entirely into volume production with the unit.

Due to this focus on the sustainability approach the GoRolloe team argue that this project is a very worthy candidate for Fast Start Innovation funding due to its relevance to the &amp;quot;environmentally focused manufacturing, supply chains and circular economy solutions&amp;quot; of the &amp;quot;Achieving net zero and reducing environmental impact through&amp;quot; theme.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
