We take machines usually only available to employees of large manufacturing companies and put them in the hands of anyone wishing to learn them. We are democratising access to technology and resources in order to unlock as yet untapped innovative, creative, and economic potential.

Using access control systems to grant permissions to specific machines, assets, or working areas means a step change in the safety and security of our professional working community. Until now the safety systems have relied upon our technical staff remembering, or manually checking, which service user is trained to use which assets. Relieving them of this policing function frees them to spend more time fulfilling their pastoral role, teaching, consulting, assisting our service users to make things even better.

Application of access control will allow a far greater number of service users access to resources and facilities whilst allowing the company to glean extremely valuable data on use profiles, patterns, and frequencies allowing for prediction, forecasting, and projections, which in turn will govern things such as procurement, maintenance, and service development.

This work will broaden access to opportunities, putting resources safely in the hands of those who could otherwise not afford to access them, inspiring innovation, encouraging learning, enabling collaboration and contribute to the development of the future of manufacturing in the UK.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
