Current solutions are not working. In the UK demand for mental health support far outstrips supply with over 40,000 children waiting an average of 8 months to see a mental health professional. Worse still, only 32% of CYP referred actually receive support. A quarter of a million children are currently suffering, without support. One in five have a probable mental health disorder. This will rise to one in four by 2028 if the current trend continues.

Overstretched and under supported NHS workers are leaving in droves, citing stress, poor working conditions and lack of resource as the leading causes. Old methods aren't working and they cannot solve the UK MH crisis.

This is not just an issue in the UK. The World Health Organisation (WHO) suggests that 1 in 7, or 116 million, CYP worldwide are suffering with a MH disorder. 50% of longterm MH disorders are established by 14 years old, 75% by 25 years old, with the longterm affects costing over £300 billion per year to the UK government.

"The bulk of these costs is sustained by individuals and their families, at £175 billion, while both businesses and government also shoulder a substantial economic impact -- £101 billion and £25 billion respectively."
