We are a unique partnership between police, academia and corporate business that exists to help businesses mitigate business cyber risks.

Our mission is to on board every SME in the Yorkshire and the North East to our free membership and ensure that they start their journey to Cyber Essentials. Within this membership we supply a welcome pack, various cyber security roadmaps for businesses to follow, access to events and partners, tips and news, and a free assessment allowing businesses to check cyber maturity. In addition to assist this, we also offer affordable student services delivered by a cohort of selected undergraduate and post graduate ethical hackers. This benefits businesses who cannot afford services and would never have known to approach a regular company. We provides real life work experience for cyber science and security students, feeding the talent pipeline in our region.

**Our bid would propose to fulfil;**

* cyber security skills for local people and communities reducing the skills gap
* strengthening the local cyber security sector through area partnerships and developing links between industry, public sector and academia
* supporting the development of strong and innovative cyber security ecosystems

**We will do this by;**

* Onboarding new members to our free core membership via community outreach work, getting hard to reach communities face to face
* Conducting free system configuration checks and vulnerabilities assessment
* Helping businesses understand the benefits of the Cyber Essentials Scheme, preparing for assessment and funding certification application
* Distribution of common vulnerabilities and remediation advice to local educational establishments
* Providing access to technical partners and providing upto date threat advice
* Sponsoring student career labs, bringing together local students and partners to introduce them to local careers in cyber security
