These sensors, with their autonomous capabilities to detect falls, near-falls, seizures, and monitor daily activities and body temperature trends, significantly contribute to the safety and fitness of individuals receiving care at home. Dandelion aims to improve the sensor's lifecycle design, working closely with care teams at various sites.

We focus on enhancing durability, simplifying installation and removal processes, and exploring potential avenues for sensor reuse and refurbishment. Dandelion explores designs that make these sensors more attractive and blend better into home settings, to escape the shape and form of a 'plastic box'.

Dandelion's ultimate goal is to transform these sensors into a continuous and portable service that adapts to the user's lifestyle over an extended use-phase. This includes home use, hospital stays, holidays, or family visits, thereby expanding their usability beyond traditional home settings. By prioritising repairability and reusability, Tendertec prepares for a future where technology sustainability is paramount. We aim to significantly reduce waste and environmental impact while enhancing the functionality, utility, and adaptability of these sensors across various use-cases and environments.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
