This will reduce maternal and child mortality, improve foetal development, and improve birth outcomes. Mamaby has a range of delicious Indian snacks which are nutritionally fortified, but 100% natural, and aims to provide these snacks to pregnant women in Indian slums, plus provide affordable diagnostics that address maternal conditions. Mamaby will run a cross-subsidy model, also producing, branding and commercially selling these snacks in India and the UK, with all profits reinvested into operations in the slums. This next obstacles we must overcome to produce and sell our snacks in the UK are: (1) branding, marketing and packaging; (2) legal advice including non-disclosure agreements and service/licensing agreements. These are the areas that Innovate UK will be helping us with through the Innovation Vouchers award."
