We will generate fresh audience engagement with art works and culturally significant objects by building a public facing digital archive for educational and reference purposes. We aim to bring more humans into art history and provide a platform for discovery, education and conversation, centred around the digitisation of art and culture. This project utilises NeRF technology to generate highly detailed 3D representations of artworks and cultural heritage sites. These representations will be hosted on a dual-access online platform: a public portal for educational and cultural exploration, and a private interface for collectors and institutions focused on conservation and archiving. The private interface provides a unique and innovative archive service to art collections and cultural organisations, seeking solutions to their current archiving and digitisation solutions. The public portal allows audiences to traverse the archive, enjoying high quality digital representations of works they cannot view physically and gaining a much deeper understanding of works they can. In this way, we will achieve our goals of improving industry standards for archiving, providing high quality digital representations for conservational and commercial purposes & increasing public access to arts education.
