The system lacks even the basic features of connecting services and employees across our 3 offices. An overhaul of the system is required which represents a substantial change for the firm. The new bespoke cloud IT system will improve service delivery, enable staff to work collaboratively (this just is not possible with the current system) and reduce overall risk to the business. It will also enable the staff to be connected from anywhere in the world and on any device (tablet, phone, etc.). In addition the new system will provide the foundation for the business’ aim to move to ‘paper-lite’ offices. This is because its current usage of paper is significant (e.g. handling over 100 500+ page court bundles) – this is a major cost for the business in printing and storage that will be reduced.
