The aim of the project was to specify a freight pipeline system that could subsequently be constructed in a quarry environment to move aggregates in a more environmentally friendly manner than the current road and conveyor modes. All of the planned deliverables were developed on schedule and provide an ideal basis for moving the project to the next stage, the construction of a demonstrator, to excite potential investors and customers of the concept.
