This project aims to develop a new construction method for an electric bicycle which does not rely on on welding, but rather allows for the assembly of an ebike frame in a non-permanent way, such that it can be easily assembled and disassembled for servicing or reuse of parts. This in turn will make such an ebike suitable for leasing rather than outright purchase, thereby improving the affordability of ebikes, and also allow it to be manufactured in the UK, where welding costs are high, but assembly is more affordable.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
