a problem often experienced by radiographers is keeping young infants asleep when transferring them to an MRI scanner. the whole experience can be a very traumatic one for infants and when they are distressed it becomes very difficult to obtain good quality imaging.

the MRI cot enables staff to transport the child in a cot which can then be safely used inside the scanner. Thus minimising the trauma and allowing the radiographers to take advantage of the relaxed, sleeping child.
