single and multi-species biofilms, produced by multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs) associated with hospital

acquired infection. Recent evidence shows that biofilms can survive in excess of 12 months on surfaces within

hospital rooms, even after terminal cleaning with bleach. It is believed that these biofilms act as reservoirs for

infection, with the potential to contaminate patients who come into contact with them. Bioquell is working in

conjunction with University of Southampton.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
