We are now realizing that our indoor air quality is far from healthy. While we need to insulate our homes, we seal all cracks and gaps which further reduce the mandatory airflow. Even if we open the windows in large cities, the outside air isn't that healthy for us anymore.

We have developed an innovative solution that not only removes common particles, bacteria, and viruses but also eliminates a wide range of unwanted gases, including Radon, CO2, ozone, formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as well as many more. Our solution uses innovative natural materials (minerals) that are non-toxic to humans.

In addition to purifying indoor air, our product actively removes greenhouse gases from the atmosphere through a process called enhanced weathering, where CO2 is permanently sequestered. Assuming a 12-hour operation time per day, the air cleaner removes the same CO2 from the atmosphere as 12 trees!

LUMA is seeking the InnovateUK funding to take the project onto the next phase and produce a developed prototype and a UK patent that we can use to get the product to market. We will be developing the prototype in our Margate Studio, on the South-East coast, which hopefully leads to us growing the team and expanding our operations here.
